OBJECT DESCRIPTION

The paternal house of the Nikoloudakis family is situated at Eleftherna, 15 km south-east of the city of Rethymno and 7 km of the Monastery of Arkadi. Eleftherna is a village well known for its history, the important antiquities, for its natural beauty and its traditional way of living which each visitor can enjoy. The Nikoloudakis family with a lot of love, hack value and personal work, renovated its paternal house, built in 1897.Today, it can offer hospitality and accommodation up to 10 people, as it includes 4 fully equipped apartments with sovereign the traditional element. The name of each apartment is connected with the history of the village.The traditional House also includes 2 parking spaces, an internal courtyard and a big veranda with a magnificent view over the Cretan Sea and the mountain as well, where each visitor can have a coffee or a meal. Each apartment has one bedroom with 2 or 3 beds with their own bathroom, traditional decoration and furnishing combined with modern luxuries. All of the apartments include completely equipped kitchens with all the electric appliances, (traditional fireplace, air-conditioning in the two up floor apartments), television and autonomous solar heating. The tavern in the village is runned by the owner of the house, there you will have the chance to taste the famous cretan cuisine, which is well known all over the world for its delicious taste and for its high nutritional value. The traditional dishes are made from fresh cretan ingredients, which are mainly produced by the owner. A mini market is in the village for the essential things. A larger variety of shops and taverns can be found in the town of Rethymno and the nearest beach is 12 km away.A car is essential.
