Flying to Crete

Daily there are arriving on Crete by airplane. Because Crete is an Island, it is difficult to arrive by car other than using a ferry.

Most of the tourists arrive by plane and an increasing number of them book their tickets directly with the airline company or with a travel agent.
For this we have created an overview by country with the most important airline companies who provide flights to Crete.

Be aware that most of them are only operating during tourism season from April until end October. Outside this season there is only a limited number of companies who have regular flights to Crete.

An interesting option is to book indirect flights. Where charter companies and "price fighters" are competing each other for cheap flights, they can offer less service and have inconvenient flight time schedules. With booking indirect flights through Athens or Thessaloniki, one can book with high quality airline companies that offer excellent services, selection of flights schedule and many times also competitive in price.
